“Stranger” is a collaboration between Kuami Eugene and Gyakie, and it’s a good combination from the word go. Both performers know melody, and that’s exactly what carries the music.
Gyakie delivers a delicate, emotive feel, and Kuami Eugene holds the fort with his usual performance. You can see the chemistry is there; this was not forced. The production is clean and simple, leaving enough room for both artists to express adequately.
“Stranger” isn’t loud, yet it rings. It’s a tune that takes a bit of time to get used to, especially if you’re a fan of peaceful and well-structured music.
