Indigenous Igbo rapper Beepee D Rapgod returns with “Ndi Ete Obi,” the commanding opener on his latest project The Forerunner EP. The track arrives as the opening statement on the four-track effort produced by Realnexx that sets the tone for what the Abia State native wants to say right now.
The Forerunner dropped with no guest features, putting full focus on Beepee’s delivery and vision. “Ndi Ete Obi” leads the sequence, followed by “Onye Ji Ego,” “Okwu Paper,” and a fourth cut. The EP marks another chapter for an artist who has been building since 2007 and released his debut album Okwu Nwoke back in 2021.
Beepee D Rapgod has worked alongside heavyweights like Phyno, Jeriq, and Masterkraft throughout his career. He moves between traditional Igbo rap and modern trap, blending proverbs with street narratives. His catalogue shows range, but his foundation stays rooted in Eastern hip-hop.
On “Ndi Ete Obi,” Realnexx crafts a heavy soundscape anchored by knocking kick drums and sharp high-hat loops. Traditional Ogene percussion textures blend into the fast-paced trap layout, keeping momentum high while leaving space for Beepee’s energetic cadence. The track celebrates financial power and street supremacy, themes that run through his recent work.
