Indigenous Igbo rapper Beepee D Rapgod returns with a hard-hitting street anthem titled “Onye Ji Ego” that celebrates money and dominance. The track appears on his recent EP “THE FORERUNNER” and was produced by Megabyte, who built the instrumental around hammering kick drums and crisp high-hat loops. Traditional Igbo Ogene percussion blends seamlessly into a fast-paced trap drum pattern, creating a head-banging soundtrack that keeps the tempo moving forward.

Beepee D Rapgod, a native of Abia State who was raised in Anambra State, has been active in the music industry since 2007. He released his debut studio album “Okwu Nwoke” in 2021 after signing with COT Family record label. Over the years, he has worked with big names like Phyno, Jeriq, and Masterkraft, securing his presence within the Igbo hip-hop scene through forceful lines and crisp traditional proverbs. His recent project “THE FORERUNNER” is a four-track EP with no guest features.

“Onye Ji Ego” arrives at an ideal time as Eastern rap listeners are clamoring for unadulterated records that speak directly to street realities. The track announces his dominance and shows how money influences talk in the streets, a theme that resonates strongly with his core audience. His delivery remains sharp and the production remains spacious.
