Kenyan Afrobeats artist Lexsil has linked up with South African singer-songwriter Sbahle on a new cross-border single titled “Shona Malanga”. The collaboration brings together two distinct voices from East and Southern Africa on one track.
Production credits on “Shona Malanga” include K-Zaka and Deestar ZA, who helped shape the sound behind the release. Lexsil kept the announcement simple on Instagram, posting “Friday we make memories” ahead of the drop. The title itself translates roughly to “let the sun go down” in Zulu, carrying cultural weight that most collaborations skip over entirely.
Lexsil has been building his profile steadily with records like “Bounce”, which featured Otile Brown, and “Remedy”.
