Tanzanian gospel singer Asagwile returns with a new worship album called “Praise Hallelujah.” The project is designed for corporate worship and leans into the rhythmic, full-bodied style that defines Bongo Gospel.
Asagwile has built a strong ministry presence across East Africa through collaborations with artists like Godfrey Steven, Paul Clement, and Walter Chilambo. His recent work includes the single “Napendwa” and features on tracks like “I Wish You Good (Remix),” which brought together multiple voices from the region. This album follows that collaborative momentum but returns to a solo format.
The title leaves no room for ambiguity. This is a record of celebration rather than petition, and Asagwile treats it as a proclamation from the first note. The production still mixes Rumba and Bongo Gospel elements, keeping the energy high and the rhythm congregational. It is built for people who worship with movement, not just voices.
