BNXN drops the new EP “Still In Charge” with Asake on the lead single “Eja Meja.”

The six-track project arrives in September, marking BNXN’s second major release of 2026 after his album Captain earlier in the year. “Eja Meja” serves as the opening statement – a fusion of two distinct Afrobeats voices working in tandem. The track pairs Asake’s flow with BNXN’s delivery, creating momentum that sets the tone for what follows across the EP.

Born Daniel Etiese Benson in Lagos and hailing from Akwa Ibom state, BNXN has built his name on genre-blending work that sits between Afro-fusion and contemporary Afrobeats. He records under T.Y.E (To Your Ears Entertainment) and has collaborated with heavyweight names including Wizkid and Olamide on previous projects like the 2022 EP “Bad Since ’97.” His catalog also includes “Sorry I’m Late” and the full-length album “Sincerely, Benson.”

On “Eja Meja,” the production gives both artists room to breathe – the beat sits back while their vocals push forward. Neither voice overwhelms the mix, instead building a conversation that rewards repeated listens. The arrangement stays lean, letting the chemistry between them carry the weight.
