South African Amapiano collective ATK MusiQ marks their comeback with the deep-groove collaboration “Bawo,” featuring Soulful G and SemiLanga.

The track appears as the second cut on their double-disc album The Return, which arrived on July 29, 2026, after a six-year gap between full-length projects. LeeMcKrazy and Hlonivic contribute additional production and creative input, layering the record with atmospheric detail. “Bawo” runs just under eight minutes, giving its soulful vocals and rhythmic percussion room to breathe across the runtime.

The Return spans 35 tracks split across two sides – one leaning soulful and private-school in tone, the other built on UMA-style grooves. ATK MusiQ has built their name on exactly this kind of immersive Amapiano sound, working consistently with producers and vocalists who understand late-night club energy. The collective’s catalogue reflects a taste for both atmospheric production and collaborative depth.

“Bawo” makes sense as a reintroduction. It sits between accessibility and substance, letting the featured artists breathe while keeping the production tight and groove-focused. The song proves ATK MusiQ hasn’t lost touch with what made them relevant in the first place.
