Chronical Deep unveils H.O.P.E, an ambitious 30-track double-disc album that represents his most personal and introspective studio project to date. Released through Universal Music South Africa, the album carries the meaning Hold On Pain Ends – a deeply rooted message of perseverance woven throughout its connected sections. The project brings together South Africa’s most respected deep house talents, including Kabza De Small, Artwork Sounds, Sun-El Musician, Senior Oat, Indlovukazi, Mr Maker, Makhanj, MÖRDA, Russell Zuma, Azana, Leandra.Vert, MaWhoo, Ciniso, Cnethemba Gonelo, Andy Keys, and Kamoh Xaba.
Rather than follow a conventional album structure, Chronical Deep – H.O.P.E arrives as a carefully constructed two-part experience. The collaborations across the album showcase how the South African producer has positioned himself within the region’s deep house conversation. Each feature feels intentional, building a sonic landscape that remains cohesive despite the sprawling tracklist.
Chronical Deep hails from Qwa Qwa in the Free State and began his music career in 2008. He co-founded WayUpMusic and was formerly part of The Godfathers Of Deep House, a collective that shaped the underground deep house movement. His releases have appeared on labels like Aluku Records and Deep Resolute, cementing his reputation as a versatile composer and producer.
The H.O.P.E album sits at the intersection of introspection and community. Rather than chasing trends, Chronical Deep builds soundscapes that invite listeners into his world. The double-disc format allows space for both intimate moments and fuller productions, reflecting the album’s thematic focus on holding on through difficulty.
