Romanian producer DJ Goja delivers a slowed-down reimagining of “Mi Chico” featuring Jason Derulo and Brazilian singer Melody on this new version. The “Melody Version Slowed” strips back the original’s energy, trading pace for atmosphere. It arrives as part of the official Mi Chico (Slowed & Sped Up Versions) EP through gamma.

The slower edit transforms what started as an Afro-house and Afro-pop track into something built for late-night listening. Rather than lose the song’s appeal, the reduced tempo actually exposes new layers – Derulo’s R&B-influenced delivery becomes more prominent, while Melody’s bilingual vocals gain space to breathe. The groove remains intact, just unhurried.

Slowed and reverb versions have become their own category across TikTok and streaming, and DJ Goja – Melody Version Slowed fits that appetite perfectly. The original “Mi Chico” already found an audience as a viral track, so this alternate take gives fans another way to experience it. The hypnotic production and dreamy soundscape make it a different animal from the version that first caught attention.
