Ghanaian rising star AratheJay returns with “ROVER,” a soulful Afrobeats track that features the vocal presence of KOJO BLAK.
The song dropped as a surprise on the sixth track of AratheJay’s new six-track EP, “Christo Disco (The Spiritual Ascent).” Built on contemporary Ghanaian production with soul influences running through its core, “ROVER” pairs AratheJay’s introspective vocal work with KOJO BLAK’s melodic strength. Samuel Ofei Ankrah Badu and McDonald Addotey Braide handled the creative contributions, while AratheJay released the record independently through his own imprint.
Based in Accra, AratheJay has been steadily building momentum within Ghana’s music scene. His earlier project “Finding Nimo Series: The Capsule” established him as an artist unafraid of conceptual storytelling. He follows that with “The Odyssey,” his 2025 album that cemented his reputation for blending genre boundaries and personal reflection into every release.
On “ROVER,” the production sits in that reflective space where Afrobeats meets deeper introspection. AratheJay’s delivery feels measured and deliberate, while KOJO BLAK’s presence adds harmonic weight without overwhelming the track’s contemplative mood. The song explores themes of identity and faith, fitting naturally into the EP’s larger spiritual arc.
