South African rapper iFani is back with his eight-track EP, “Msebenzi Wam.”

This project lands through Asanda Empires and Disguiz, with distribution handled by Content Connect Africa. It marks his first major body of work following an extended break from the scene.

“Msebenzi Wam” translates to “My Work” in isiXhosa, so the title alone signals a deeper mission. While his earlier career leaned playful, this record trades that energy for honest, reflective lyricism over polished hip-hop production.

The EP digs into self-discovery, perseverance, and cultural identity without dodging the hard parts of overcoming adversity. Guests like Csana, Snymaan, Vuyo Manyike, and Vee Sholo each bring their own texture to the project, so the sonic palette stays fresh from start to finish.

However, the real shift here is iFani’s voice. He sounds more mature, more measured, yet still sharp. That evolution makes “Msebenzi Wam” feel less like a comeback and more like a proper reintroduction.
