Ghanaian singer AratheJay returns with his soulful new Afro-fusion record “Bosompim,” a track built on vocal restraint and textured phrasing.
The song sits on the Christo Disco EP, a six-track project that arrived as a surprise drop. Samuel Ofei Ankrah Badu handled the lyrics, while production credits on the EP include four tracks from one producer, with “Bosompim” among them. The instrumental builds around soft acoustic guitar plucks and subtle percussion, but the real focus stays on AratheJay’s calm, deliberate delivery.
He sings in Twi and English, letting each line breathe against the sparse beat. Because his phrasing is so laid-back, the track carries a meditative weight that suits its heritage-inspired tone. While horn lines and a smooth drum groove add warmth, the vocals never fight for space. Instead, they lead the entire arrangement with quiet confidence.
AratheJay has been building steady momentum since his debut album The Odyssey and the Finding Nimo series, and his recent work with Kojo Blak on the same EP shows his collaborative range.
This record shows how a restrained voice can carry a whole song without ever raising its volume.
