South African producer Dr Dope finally answers the call as “The Weekend” with vocalist Kitso Nave makes its long-awaited arrival.
This vibrant dance anthem blends electronic music with Afro-house and Gqom-inspired rhythms. Dr Dope, real name Siphosenkosi Den Gumede, handled production, composition, and mixing. Kitso Nave supplies engaging vocals and expressive lyricism throughout. Additional vocal engineering came from Lona Austin Kunase.
Fans have been waiting on this pairing since their earlier collaborations on tracks like “Hamba Wena.” Dr Dope has built a reputation in the Gqom scene with popular releases including “Bayathandana” and “Sengithole Omunye (Remake).”
