After months of anticipation, CKay returns with a fresh collaboration that finds him exploring a softer, more romantic side of his sound. The Nigerian Afrobeats star teams up with British-Nigerian artist and producer Maleek Berry on “SEXY,” the ninth track from his third studio album, BANGER BOY.

Produced by Bolatito “BMH” Obisanya and Maleek Berry, the record blends contemporary African rhythms with nostalgic R&B influences. It arrived as part of the project’s second half, adding a gentle counterweight to the album’s more energetic moments. However, the chemistry between both artists carries the song, with their melodic exchanges feeling natural and unhurried.

For those unfamiliar, CKay, born Chukwuka Ekweani in Kaduna State, first broke through globally with his viral hit “Love Nwantiti.” Yet here he strips things back. The production leans into warmth and space, while the vocal delivery stays intimate throughout. Because of that, the track lands as one of BANGER BOY’s more personal cuts.

Still, the question remains whether this softer direction meets what fans expected from the singer’s latest chapter. So have you heard “SEXY” yet? Tell us what you think in the comment section.
