Gospel minister and trumpeter Nathaniel Bassey returns with “The Life Recording,” a seven-track live worship project for believers awaiting his next ministry season.
The recording captures an extended worship experience running over an hour. Nathaniel Bassey calls the project “L-I-F-E,” describing it as a victory strategy for the second half of the year. He also joins Mirabel Ekezie on “Onye Kam Ga Si Na Oyiri Gi,” while “New Beauty” closes the set.
For those unfamiliar, Bassey hails from Akwa Ibom State and leads worship worldwide. His songs “Imela” and “Onise Iyanu” have become staples in Nigerian gospel circles, and he fronts the annual Hallelujah Challenge.
This project drops ahead of the October 2026 Hallelujah Challenge themed “The Lord Reigns.” So the live setting fits his signature style, blending trumpet-led praise with extended moments of personal devotion. Yet listeners expecting studio polish might find this raw approach refreshing instead.
