Indie folk singer Phoebe Bridgers returns with “Panorama,” a patient, atmospheric cut that lets her third album breathe between heavier moments. The song arrives as the eighth track on her new project, Lost Weekend.
Bridgers co-produced the record alongside Tony Berg, Ethan Gruska, and Jack Antonoff, with vocal arrangement help from Caroline Shaw. The track opens without her voice, letting sparkling piano, soft pulses, and hazy synth textures build a spacious soundscape for nearly two minutes. Banjo from Christian Lee Hutson and mandolin from Chris Thile add organic warmth to the expansive production.
The Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter has built a reputation for intimate, emotionally direct music. Her past work includes the acclaimed Punisher project and collaborations with Conor Oberst, though “Panorama” pushes into more ambient territory than her usual indie folk lane.
Instead of a conventional song structure, the layered arrangement grows slowly and feels like a cinematic pause. The restrained atmosphere makes it one of the album’s most meditative moments, giving listeners room to sit with the record’s surrounding emotions.
