DJ Manzo SA, the disk jockey and producer from South Africa, has released an enjoyable new Amapiano tune, “Graduation.”

This is a really positive release, at a time when lovers of dance music are craving uplifting, melody-driven township sounds to mark important milestones and personal achievements. Usually the anthems of the electronic dance club scene are aggressive and high-speed, but DJ Manzo SA follows a more soulful, triumphant road. On this mid-tempo joint, he conveys the joy of victory and demonstrates that meaningful celebration still holds great resonance on the dance floor.

The sound architect constructs a beautifully rich slow-burn canvas of warm electric piano chords, airy synth pads, and crisp percussion shakers. Underneath the primary melody is a hypnotic, irresistible beat, with a liquid sub-bass and rolling log percussion. Yet the production never loses its spacious, clean feeling, and the vocal accents and melodic lines are allowed to float with remarkable clarity and jubilation.

So “Graduation” fits neatly into DJ Manzo SA’s run of celebratory releases. However, it stands apart for its unhurried, reflective energy. That approach gives the song a lasting pull that rewards repeat listens. Have you heard “Graduation” yet? Tell us what you think in the comment section.
