Nigerian artist Muyeez steps forward with “Ivy Carter,” a confident cut from his debut album All Hail Muyeez, and the record arrives as a full-length statement. The artist has moved beyond his teenage breakout phase.

That self-belief runs through the song without any complicated framing around it. However, the album itself stretches across soul, afrobeat, and electronic sounds, with producer Larrylanes shaping much of that direction. So “Ivy Carter” lives outside any single fixed Afropop format because of that wide palette.

Yet the placement also tests Muyeez directly, since so much of the project depends on his personality carrying each recording. This is a vital challenge for any debut full-length, although the youthful confidence here makes it feel natural rather than forced.
