Tanzanian singer Harmonize and Mayorkun team up for the spirited new track “Bumpy Ride.”
The song lands as track 10 on Harmonize’s sixth studio album, “31.” However, its placement in the second half feels deliberate because the record injects a fresh burst of cheerfulness into the project. So while earlier cuts carry emotional weight, this one shifts the tempo upward at exactly the right moment.
Harmonize stays firmly in his Bongo Flava pocket throughout. Yet Mayorkun brings his signature West African Afrobeats presence to the mix. Because neither artist tries to copy the other, the beat arrangement gives both voices room to breathe. Harmonize’s smooth Swahili-laced delivery glides over Mayorkun’s distinctive Nigerian cadence. Instead of clashing, the two styles bounce off the production naturally.
