Danifresh links up with Beepee D Rapgod on “Pay Day”, a fresh Nigerian record for easy listening. The up-and-coming singer-songwriter carries the melody here, while Beepee D Rapgod, a Nigerian hip-hop musician and performer, adds his own stamp to the song.

Bahdmanbeat handled the production, the same hand behind Danifresh’s earlier effort. Before “Pay Day”, Danifresh had featured Kolaboy on “Pain (Remix)”, so the new single follows a run of collaborations rather than arriving out of nowhere. But the mood shifts this time. Where the remix leaned on rap weight, this one keeps things lighter and more relaxed.

That easy feel is the whole point. “Pay Day” suits a good day, a small win, or just a quiet moment when you want music that does not ask too much of you. Beepee D Rapgod slides in without disrupting the flow, so both acts get room to breathe.
