Nigerian Afropop artist, songwriter and record producer DennyB is back with a fresh single he calls “IMALIFE” for his listeners. The song lands as another entry in the Afropop space he has kept working in, so fans of that sound have something new to press play on.

Before this one, DennyB had already given fans a song called “My Papa.” That earlier record carries the same Afropop direction, so “IMALIFE” does not arrive out of nowhere. It follows a lane he has stayed in, and that consistency matters for an artist building a catalog.

The credits behind the record are slim on paper, but DennyB handles more than vocals. He writes, and he also produces, which means the sound on “IMALIFE” comes largely from his own hands. Not every Afropop act can say that.

Afropop keeps rewarding artists who can move between the mic and the boards, because the genre leans on rhythm, melody and clean arrangement. DennyB fits that mold, and “IMALIFE” adds another piece to a growing body of work.
