The song sits on his expansive double album, XX : Délirium, where it holds the second spot on Disc 1 of a 51-track project. That placement matters, because it puts the record near the front of a body of work built to be absorbed in long sittings. He released the album through Elektra France and Warner Music France.
“Prosternez-vous” runs for 5 minutes and 47 seconds, and it treats love in an exaggerated, theatrical way. The title translates to “Bow Down,” so the lyrics circle around admiration, attraction, and complete devotion to a partner. A repeated call to bow down adds a playful sense of authority, while the romantic theme keeps things rooted in affection.
