Ghanaian rapper, songwriter and entertainer Kelvyn Boy adds more music to his collection with a new sophomore studio project titled “2nd Step.” The album arrives as his second full body of work, and it carries the weight of everything he has built so far. After over a decade in the music business, he has found his niche. He has experimented with a variety of genres while keeping his Ghanaian roots close to his songs.
On “2nd Step,” Kelvyn Boy looks back on his journey and appreciates the accomplishments he has earned after years of hard work. The album opens with “Jehova,” where he thanks God for the path and successes he has experienced thus far. Then comes “Pioneer,” a self-assured record about his position in the music world and the lifestyle his hard work has afforded him.
He joins forces with Ghanaian rapper Lalid and award-winning hip-hop act Strongman on track three, “I,” which is a more serious song. The fourth single, “Allo,” features Ghanaian rapper Medikal. Then follows “Sorry” with singer Mellisa on track five, before Kelvyn Boy brings listeners to a more personal side of his story with “Ability,” which occupies the sixth slot.
