Nigerian Afropop and Highlife singer HumbleSmith has released a new six-track EP called “Mr Melody” for listeners waiting on fresh material. The project arrives as a concise body of work, yet it still covers plenty of ground for fans of his sound.
Melody, romance, culture, and everyday experiences shape “Mr Melody” across its six songs. HumbleSmith keeps his songwriting and vocal performance at the centre of the EP. Production is largely led by DALORBEATS, who handles “Aso Oke,” “Jealousy,” “Baby Fire,” “Pressure,” and “Moment.” Vstix produced “Bolingo,” while ZegzMix mixed and mastered all six tracks.
“Bolingo” is the project’s only guest-assisted track, and it features respected Highlife singer Umu Obiligbo. It sits at the fifth position on the EP. The remaining songs are performed by HumbleSmith alone.
The EP opens with “Aso Oke” before moving through “Jealousy,” “Baby Fire,” and “Pressure.” “Bolingo” follows with Umu Obiligbo, then “Moment” brings the collection to a close. So the run stays tight from start to finish.
