Ugandan Dancehall artist Beenie Gunter has returned with a six-track project charting the emotional arc of a relationship from start to finish.
“I Loved You” arrived through Darkroom Records and Dero Prod in July 2026. The EP follows a narrative structure where each song represents a different stage of love, moving through excitement, conflict, and reflection. Beenie Gunter built the project around the concept that every song is a chapter and every chapter tells a story.
Baguma Crescent, known professionally as Beenie Gunter, is a Ugandan reggae dancehall artist who first gained attention with tracks like “Pon Mi” and “Olina Work.” He has released several projects over the years, including “No Fear” in 2019 and “New School Tape” in 2026. He runs his own label, Guntalk City, while also working with Talent Africa.
The EP blends Ugandan Dancehall with Reggae and Afropop influences, balancing the energy he is known for with a more vulnerable approach. The production supports the storytelling without overwhelming it, and the vocal delivery shifts across the six tracks to match the emotional tone of each chapter. The result is a cohesive listen that moves through the highs and lows of a relationship.
