Davido teams up with Ghanaian sensation Black Sherif on “Amazing Grace,” a standout collaboration.
Issued through Sony Music Entertainment Africa on July 31, 2026, the record pairs two of West Africa’s most influential voices. Rather than drawing from the traditional hymn, “Amazing Grace” is an original composition built on energetic percussion, infectious melodies, and heartfelt lyricism. Davido’s polished Afrobeats approach blends naturally with Black Sherif’s emotionally charged vocal delivery, creating a fusion that weaves together Afrosounds, highlife influences, and contemporary African rhythms.
Born in Atlanta and raised in Lagos, Davido has spent nearly two decades shaping modern Afrobeats. He founded his own label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), and has collaborated with everyone from Wizkid to The Weeknd. Black Sherif, meanwhile, has built a reputation for raw storytelling and distinctive vocal tone, making him one of Ghana’s most compelling voices. The two artists bring natural chemistry to “Amazing Grace,” with each complementing the other’s strengths.
Fans will get their first live taste of the song at the sold-out Davido & Friends concert at Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14, 2026, where Black Sherif is confirmed as a special guest.
