Davido brings romantic warmth to his sixth studio album with “Zanzibar.”
“Zanzibar” arrives as the 11th track on ORIADÉ, a 13-song project that dropped on July 31, 2026. The song draws inspiration from the Tanzanian island’s cultural landscape and natural beauty, with Davido crafting a love story rooted in that atmosphere. Musically, the track pairs warm melodies and rhythmic percussion with his signature vocal style, creating what fans describe as one of the album’s most intimate moments. Lyrically, it explores romance and commitment, with many listeners interpreting the song as a tribute to his wife, Chioma.
Born in Atlanta and raised in Lagos, Davido (David Adedeji Adeleke) has spent over a decade building one of Africa’s biggest music careers. He founded his own record label, Davido Music Worldwide, in 2016, and has released five studio albums before ORIADÉ. His influence spans collaborations with global artists and consistent chart presence across streaming platforms.
ORIADÉ itself shows Davido’s range, blending the Afrofusion rhythms that made him famous with deeper emotional storytelling across its runtime.
