Flavour and The London Recording Orchestra have transformed “Golibe” into a sweeping live symphonic experience where African highlife meets orchestral grandeur. The Nigerian afrobeats virtuoso steps into a lush arrangement of strings, brass and classical instrumentation, proving the song’s emotional core can stretch far beyond its studio origins.
“Golibe (Live)” appears on Flavour: ORCHESTRATED, a four-track EP released in July 2026. The project pairs the Enugu-born singer with The London Recording Orchestra, a collaboration that strips back production flourishes and rebuilds each track with full orchestral weight. Producer Myles helmed the sonic vision across the EP, which also includes live renditions of “Virtuous Woman,” “Ada Ada,” and “Game Changer.”
Flavour has built his career on blending Igbo highlife with contemporary production, working across labels and collaborating with artists like Timaya and Yung Alpha. His voice carries the same warmth and conviction on this live take, telling a story of love and loyalty without losing the cultural roots that define his sound.
The track’s strength lies in how it balances tradition with cinematic scope. Flavour’s vocal delivery remains intimate even as strings swell and brass punctuates each phrase. The arrangement respects the original’s melody while adding layers that feel earned rather than overdone.
