Pheelz and Flavour link up again on “STEPPIN (Live),” a fresh live take on their A Rii Set collaboration with Rii. The new version keeps the same focus, as both artists trade praise for a woman who stands out with her looks and confidence.
Pheelz handles production here, and the live setting gives the vocals and rhythmic movement room to breathe. Because of that space, the gap between his Afropop approach and Flavour’s highlife-rooted delivery comes through more clearly. Flavour also slips in Igbo idioms, so the exchange stays rooted in Nigerian phrasing without losing the point.
The pair already shared a natural cultural fit on the studio recording, and this performance only strengthens that bond. So listeners who enjoy melodic Afropop with highlife influence should find plenty to like here.
