Global pop sextet KATSEYE steps into the unknown with “WILD,” their third studio EP and a darker sonic shift overall. The six-track collection lands under the HYBE x Geffen Records umbrella, following their Grammy-nominated 2025 project, Beautiful Chaos.
Vocal delivery sits at the core of this evolution, because the group flexes sharper, more aggressive tones throughout. The campaign ignited with “PINKY UP,” a track that premiered during their Coachella set, and that performance already hinted at their refreshed image. However, the second pre-release single, “Animal,” pushes the vocal boundaries even further, so listeners get a clear sense of the fearless direction.
KATSEYE formed through the 2023 reality competition series Dream Academy, yet they have since carved a lane that blends K-pop precision with Western pop accessibility. Their breakthrough single “Touch” proved their range, although “WILD” suggests they are ready to leave softer sounds behind.
