Ayra Starr and ZAYN team up on the singer’s new cross-continental record, “Heaven Baby.”

The cross-continental pairing blends Starr’s Afropop identity with ZAYN’s signature pop and R&B approach. The song arrives as the 14th track on her third studio album, Starrgirl, which drops on August 14. While production and writing credits remain under wraps, the vocal chemistry speaks volumes on this one.

Starr has built her catalogue across Afrobeats, R&B, and pop, and this collaboration stretches that range even further. Her previous album, The Year I Turned 21, made history as the first by a Nigerian female artist to chart on the US Billboard 200. ZAYN brings his own global pull, so the pairing feels like a natural next step for both acts.

Yet this record also hints at how far Starr’s sound has travelled since her early days on Mavin Records.
