British-Ghanaian producer Juls and Jamaican dancehall artist Projexx have finally dropped their joint EP, “Junction,” and it is already generating serious buzz. This nine-track project blends Afrobeats production with dancehall energy in a way that feels natural rather than forced.
The collaboration has been building for years, since the pair first connected on Wizkid’s “True Love” alongside Tay Iwar. That creative spark grew into over three years of studio work, and “Junction” is the finished product of that shared vision. The EP arrives through Tabom Records and Grim Records, bringing together two distinct musical worlds under one roof.
Juls has long been a key figure in London’s African music circuit, known for his smooth, percussion-heavy beats that anchor many modern Afrobeats records. Projexx brings that Kingston swagger, delivering crisp dancehall flows that ride the production effortlessly. Their chemistry shows across tracks like “TARGET,” “ROCK” with Boj, and “SLOPPY,” while guest spots from Valiant, Pa Salieu, Winny, Tay Iwar, Haile, and Jahmiel add extra depth to the project.
The record moves between laid-back island grooves and sharper, more urgent cuts, giving listeners a full spectrum of what this partnership can do. It is a proper meeting point for African and Caribbean sounds, and the sequencing keeps the energy shifting throughout.
