British-Ghanaian producer Juls softens his usual dancehall-heavy hand here. Ambient melodies, subtle percussion, and smooth basslines build a late-night mood instead. That shift gives the vocals space to breathe while Projexx brings his Caribbean delivery and Tay Iwar layers in airy Alternative R&B textures.
The record touches on doubt, vulnerability, jealousy, and trust in romantic relationships. It also reunites the trio after their earlier link on Wizkid’s “True Love,” so their chemistry already had a foundation. This time they push into more reflective territory though.
Juls has built his name as a producer with deep London and Ghana roots, moving between Afrobeats, dancehall, and R&B spaces. Projexx carries the Jamaican side while Tay Iwar holds the Nigerian alternative lane down.
That cross-cultural pull is what makes “TRUST ISSUES” land well. It adds an introspective pause to JUNCTION without losing the project’s momentum.
