Nigerian producer Masterkraft returns with a new Afrobeats record, “My Type,” featuring Gvrden Boy on the 2026 album Party Starter (PS2).

The two are not strangers. They worked together earlier on Cheekychizzy’s 2025 single, “Outside,” so the partnership already had some history before this one. This time, Gvrden Boy features on a release from Masterkraft.

Clocking just a shade over three minutes, “My Type” is one of the leanest tracks on the album. The Afrobeats tag and shorter length set it apart from the larger Pop-tagged pieces scattered through the collection, while keeping the record tight.

For projects where the producer leads, repeat collaborations often pay off, because Masterkraft has regularly worked with artists across numerous releases. Gvrden Boy’s return fits that pattern, although it also hands the newer act another look beside a veteran with a large African music following.
