DJ Mula is back with another street-certified hip-hop tape, and the Coal City man titles this one “2026 042 Drill Mix”.
The compilation pulls together bangers from 042 heavyweights like JeriQ, Aguero Banks, Hugo P and Evado. But it is the beat selection that carries the whole thing. Hammering drill 808 glides sit under quick hi-hat rolls and crisp snare chops.
The mix still gives rapid-fire Igbo-English bars, unfiltered street ad-libs and trench chanting room to breathe. So the low end hits hard without swallowing the vocals.
Enugu rap culture has long been a stronghold for indigenous rap and gritty trap-drill fusions. DJ Mula builds “2026 042 Drill Mix” around that sound instead of chasing outside trends.
