Zambian rapper and producer Jay Rox has linked up with Dove Dee for “Kumbucha,” a single under the Zone Fam banner. The record came with an official music video, so fans get both the audio and a visual side to digest together.
Jay Rox handled the production himself while Dove Dee joined him on the performance. Because he built the beat and still stepped in front of it, “Kumbucha” carries a focused feel from start to finish. The song centres on falling hard for someone when you thought you had already moved past relationships.
That idea gives the track its own character within the contemporary Zambian music scene. But the pair keep things catchy rather than heavy, trading an expressive delivery that suits the subject matter. It is a creative entry from the Zone Fam camp, and the video expands the release further.
