Nigerian singer Kashcoming links up with Zaylevelten on “CTRL,” a new single that trades in money talk and personal desire. The record arrived through Empire Dreamin Records, and it puts two rising names from the street music space on one track.
Kashcoming carries Afrosounds and street-pop habits into the session, while Zaylevelten brings a modern Nigerian hip-hop background. That gap between their styles is the point. “CTRL” leans on want and cash rather than romance, so the writing stays blunt instead of soft.
It follows “Chaser,” a record whose lyrics surfaced ahead of release, so the switch in subject matter is deliberate. Zaylevelten also recently added the B4SAVEME EP to his catalog, and his rap history shapes how he handles the verse.
Kashcoming already has “How Low” and “All My Money” behind him, plus a fanbase that turns up for street records. Zaylevelten’s following keeps growing too, so both camps have reason to press play.
Two artists from separate lanes can still meet in the middle when the song gives them room. Is “CTRL” already on your playlist? Drop your verdict in the comments.
