Amapiano artist Khalil Harrison is back with a new record called “Vibe Yama 2K,” part of his WEEKND EP. The four-track project also carries “Kumnandi,” a collaboration with DBN Gogo, Ceeka RSA and Tyler ICU.
The new song runs close to seven minutes, so the arrangement gets room to breathe instead of rushing to a hook. Soft keys open the mix while the log drum rolls underneath. The bassline never hurries, because the groove leans on patience rather than force.
Khalil Harrison, born Mxolisi Nkosi in Nkomazi, Mpumalanga, came up under Tyler ICU’s Baby Blue Entertainment. His single “Jealousy” earned a co-sign from Chris Brown, while “Uzwile Bathini” and the “SkeemSam” album with LeeMcKrazy kept his run steady. “Vibe Yama 2K” sits inside that busy stretch, and the extended runtime suits his smooth, melodic approach.
Longer amapiano cuts often reward the dancefloor more than the playlist, yet this one carries both.
