Nigerian artist King Soundboi is back with another collaboration as he drops “Gosholor” alongside Governor’s Violinist for listeners everywhere. The single arrives as a two-song package called “Gosholor ⇢ CashOut,” giving fans more than one track to work with.
Governor’s Violinist brings a live string element to the record, which sets it apart from a typical vocal-led release. But the focus stays on how both acts trade space across the song. Their pairing works because each side leaves room for the other to breathe.
King Soundboi, whose real name is Folarin Usman Babatunde, was born and raised in Ibadan. His catalogue moves across sounds, from “GOODY GOODY” to “Lagos Party Deluxe” and “Lamba-Tainment.” That range shows he is not boxed into one lane.
The production leans on the violin’s presence without letting it swallow the vocals. However, the vocals still carry the melody forward. It is a balance that keeps the track moving.
