Lesotho-born rapper Litshepe Lr opens his new EP with “Natala,” a cross-genre record that pairs him with vocalist Khuthuza for a vibrant lead single. The track arrives as the lead single from the five-song Maja – Samo project, blending contemporary rap with Sotho-rooted storytelling.
Shev Shengu and Inkosi KaVoiceMail handled the production, building a lively Amapiano-inspired backdrop for Litshepe Lr’s verses. Khuthuza brings an energetic performance that gives the record its distinctive character. The writing moves through themes of movement, new beginnings, and crossing boundaries, with cultural references that add depth to the narrative.
Social media snippets helped build momentum before the official release, with Khuthuza’s choreography sparking a dance trend across Southern African platforms. That early buzz carried the track into its full rollout, where it now sets an upbeat tone for the rest of the EP.
Litshepe Lr continues to grow his catalog, having previously shared collaborations with artists like Ntate Stunna and producer Flash Cortez, while his earlier project Motheo found placement on South African iTunes charts.
“Natala” balances regional rap with modern dance sounds without losing its cultural grounding.
