Madonna revives a fan favourite from her catalogue as “Danceteria Afterhours” lands, pulling Charli XCX in for a late-night collaboration. The track reworks “Danceteria” from her album *Confessions II*, and it lands through Warner Records. Production comes from Stuart Price, Cirkut, Andrew Watt, and Madonna herself.
So the beat carries real weight here. Dark house synths sit under a driving four-on-the-floor pulse, built for rooms that never really empty out. That combination keeps the record moving without letting the low end swallow the vocal.
Both artists bring their own club memories into the writing. Madonna references her early New York City days, name-checking Jean-Michel Basquiat, Martin Burgoyne, and Haoui Montaug. Charli XCX, meanwhile, looks back at London’s underground rave scene and her time around A.G. Cook and SOPHIE.
The title nods to Danceteria, the club where DJ Mark Kamins played Madonna’s “Everybody” demo back in 1982. A playful online exchange between the pair earlier in 2026 also fed into the song’s concept.
