Maskandi singer and storyteller Mbekezeli 1010 is back with a culturally rich record titled “Uhleka Azaqethuke uLwah.”
The song sits on his studio project Lawufaka Ilunda, so it lands as part of a wider body of work rather than a loose single. It is very lyrical, and the writing leans on observational Zulu wisdom.
Laughter, joy and interpersonal relationships carry the message, while the proverbs and everyday Zulu tales keep it rooted. His cultural humor runs through the record too.
Beat for beat, the lush, acoustic-heavy production matches his expressive vocal energy across the full runtime. It all fits together well, so the listen feels complete and satisfying from start to finish.
