Katlehong amapiano producer Mordecai has given fans the extended record they waited for as “Mina Ngedwa” lands with a stacked guest list. The eight-minute cut pairs him with Miikey Ndlovu, Brodie.Bro and Mlooda, so there is no shortage of voices to track.
Rapture Music Group handled the release, while Mordecai produced the record himself. Siyanda Mlungisi Kunene is credited alongside him on production. The song runs 8:10 at 113 BPM in D minor, which hands DJs plenty of mixing room. Mlooda holds the featured slot, but Miikey Ndlovu and Brodie.Bro carry the main credit.
It sits at track 8 on BLNDMSC: Mamello, a 15-track album. Marato Fela with JayJayy and Rory Diamondz follows at track 9. Di Kgomo comes next, with Sandy6eats and JayJayy, while Rory Diamondz is featured again. Mamello opens the album with Katlego Vocals, and Phakamani follows with Kailey Botman and Yumbs.
Mordecai, real name Kabelo Mokoena, is a DJ and producer from Katlehong, east of Johannesburg. That township shaped his sound from an early age, according to his bio. His bio describes the sound as warm, soulful and built for dancing. He also appears on JayJayy’s “Phesheya,” and his own “Okuhle K’phela” features Kailey Botman and Zwaytoven.
