Zimbabwe’s Zimdancehall meets Nigeria’s Afrobeats as Nutty O and Fido team up on “Too Much.” That cross-border pairing gives the track its spark, because both scenes bring something different to the table. The remix opens Nutty O’s 15-track album, Different Root, so it sets the tone right from the start.
Fido steps in on a record Nutty O first dropped solo, and the result feels like a proper conversation between two regions. DJ Tamuka and Infinity Beatz handle production, blending heavy Zimdancehall rhythms with Afropop percussion. Nutty O rides the beat with his rapid, melodic patois flow, while Fido answers with an energetic Afrobeats cadence. That back-and-forth keeps things lively, and the “Zim x Naija” connection gives “Too Much” its personality. Neither style drowns the other, because the beat leaves room for both artists to shine.
“Too Much” lands as a strong statement for Zimdancehall’s growing reach, and Fido’s presence only widens that appeal. Have you streamed the remix yet? Drop your thoughts in the comment section below.
