Digital Trends reports that Warframe fans are getting another On-lyne story as the fictional boy band drops “Running Late,” a fresh pop cut.

The song arrived on August 12, 2026, and was composed and produced by Matthew Chalmers and Keith Power. Their work layers electronic beats with old-school synth sounds and stacked vocal harmonies, so the whole thing feels like it came off a 1999 radio playlist.

On-lyne exists inside the Warframe universe as a hit boy band from that era. Their debut single “RUNNING LATE” supposedly topped global charts in its first week, and this new release continues that lore. The track also ties into the Fables & Frontiers: Running Late story, where players can unlock it as a Somachord track through Amir.

It is a fun, bouncy record that captures the polished boy-band energy of the period. The song sits alongside their earlier work while pushing the group’s fictional history forward.
