Rising Nigerian act oSHAMO keeps his run moving as he links with Shiloh Yodellé on “Mon Bebe.”
“Mon Bebe” arrives as the second track on the pair’s joint EP, “Something To Die For,” a six-track project. Zionbeatz and Ozedikus handled production on the record, while Shiloh Yodellé returns the favour after working with oSHAMO before.
oSHAMO grew up in Agege, Lagos State, where traditional Fuji and Yoruba gospel shaped his ear early. He has stayed busy since, with the EP “First of My Kind” and singles like “For Your Tears” and “Cinderella” sitting in his catalogue.
The collaboration makes sense right now, because oSHAMO is clearly in a releasing mood. “Mon Bebe” gives the EP a soft landing point without slowing its pace. It also shows how comfortably the two artists trade space across six tracks.
