South African Amapiano duo Q Bonke and Mlooda have teamed up for a vibrant new collaborative project titled “STEP ZERO (EP).”

The seven-track extended play officially arrived through Kreative Kornerr Communications, with distribution handled by Sony Music Entertainment Africa. It blends Amapiano, 3Step, and tribal-inspired sounds into one cohesive body of work.

Q Bonke has moved across Afro House and Amapiano in recent years, while Mlooda brings a complementary rhythmic energy to the pairing. Their catalogue includes prior collaborations with Felo Le Tee, Smoove, and Miikey Ndlovu, so this project builds on established chemistry.

“STEP ZERO (EP)” opens with “Ngiyekeni (Intro),” featuring Imbongi Yosizi, before rolling through cuts like “Mngani” with Felo Le Tee and Smoove, plus “Xola” alongside Miikey Ndlovu. Other contributors include Mshibe, De Confident, Soul Nativez, Zee Nxumalo, MalumNator, and Cadie Yano.

The EP delivers deep grooves, melodic vocals, and richly textured South African rhythms throughout. It feels like a celebration of the duo’s shared sonic language, yet each track carves its own space.
