Nigerian singer Qing Madi links with British-Nigerian DJ and producer DJames on a new single titled “Can’t Wait.”
The track pairs Qing Madi’s R&B-leaning vocals with DJames’ Afrobeats production, built around a mid-tempo groove. DJames provides a rhythmic foundation that keeps the record moving, while the vocals stay central to the arrangement. The feel-good atmosphere never gets in the way of that polished vocal character.
“Can’t Wait” follows their 2024 collaboration, “Love Me,” which appeared on DJames’ Grateful EP. That earlier link-up already earned attention, so this one arrives with some expectation behind it. Fans of contemporary Afrobeats and Afro-R&B will recognize the pairing right away.
Their partnership keeps growing with each release, and “Can’t Wait” adds another chapter to it.
