South African artist Ssips has teamed up with Sobzeen for a brand new single called “Ukwesaba.” The track arrives as a single for 2026, following his earlier work like the “Amacala” single with Nele SA. “Ukwesaba” means fear in isiZulu, so the title alone sets a heavy mood before the beat even lands.
The songwriting leans into that weight. Deep drums and a dark, rolling bassline carry the arrangement, while Sobzeen steps in with a second voice that shifts the angle of the story. The hook stays simple and repeatable, which makes it easy to pick up after one listen. It is a moody, honest record about facing what scares you, and the production keeps that tension running underneath from start to finish.
Ssips has been building steadily, with releases like “Ubuhlebendalo” featuring Zama Nkosi and the “Umcebo” EP already behind him. “Ukwesaba” fits that run without sounding like a repeat.
