Kilogbede Records producer SSSoundGawd keeps his run going as he drops “Ego,” a new Afrobeat and rap link-up with JeriQ. The record lands as part of his debut EP “THE WORST,” a six-track project that arrived on October 16, 2026. Kilogbede Records handles the release, and the label is headed by Mavo.
The pairing makes sense on paper. SSSoundGawd built his name behind the boards before stepping out as an artist, so the beat carries a producer’s polish. JeriQ, however, brings the rough edge. He is known for street-inspired storytelling and Igbo expressions, and that voice cuts straight through the mix.
His catalogue has moved across solo records and collaborations. “Presido” with Loony Q and “SoHo” from the EP sit alongside his production work. But “Ego” leans harder on contrast, because the Afrobeat base stays easy to move to while JeriQ’s delivery refuses to sit still.
JeriQ also stays busy elsewhere, with recent turns on Kolaboy’s “Bank” and Cruel Santino’s “Oz.,” so his name now crosses several corners of Nigerian rap. That momentum gives this single extra attention.
